We’re turning the clocks back on Sunday, but that doesn’t mean turning your back on gin until next summer. With the herbal nature of many gins, there are many gin cocktails that taste just right in the darker, colder months.
Here are some gin cocktails we turn to in the fall. They work equally well with Copperworks Gin or an aged gin like Copperworks New Barrel Gin or Malt Barrel Gin.
With all these recipes, stir with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
Perfect Negroni
1 oz. Copperworks Gin
1 oz. Campari
.5 oz. Noilly Prat Sweet Vermouth
.5 oz. Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth
Garnish: orange peel
Martinez
2 oz. Copperworks Gin
.75 oz. Noilly Prat Sweet Vermouth
.25 oz. maraschino liqueur
Dash of Angostura bitters
Garnish: lemon twist
Ford Cocktail
1.5 oz. Copperworks Gin
.75 oz. Dolin Dry Vermouth
.25 oz. Benedictine
2 dashes Regans’ Orange Bitters No. 6
Garnish: orange peel
Berlioni
1.5 oz. Copperworks Gin
.75 oz. Cynar
.5 oz. Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth
Garnish: orange peel
