Cocktails with Copperworks Cask Finished Gins

The following recipes specify Copperworks New Oak Cask Finished Gin, but the recipes work well with any of our Cask Finished Gins.

Amber Negroni

.5 oz. Copperworks New Oak Cask Finished Gin                   

.5 oz. Letterpress Amaro Amorino             

1 oz. Lillet Blanc

1 oz. fresh lemon Juice   

3 dashes Anoastura Bitters          

Garnish: rosemary sprig 

Shake with ice and strain into a coupe glass.

.75 oz.  Copperworks New Oak Cask Finished Gin

.75 oz.  Green Chartreuse

.75 oz.  Maraschino liqueur

.75 oz.  fresh lemon juice

Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

Miles Away

1.5 oz. Copperworks New Oak Cask Finished Gin

.75 oz. fresh lemon juice

.5 oz. ginger liqueur

.5 oz.  Zucca Rabarbaro Amaro

dash of salt

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

Use a Copperworks Cask Finished Gin in place of whiskey in these classic whiskey cocktails.

New Oak Sazarac

2.5 oz. Copperworks New Oak Cask Finished Gin

2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

1 dash Angostura Bitters

1 sugar cube

absinthe

Garnish: lemon peel

Muddle the sugar cube with a few drops of water in a mixing glass. Add the gin, bitters and ice. Stir well. Strain into a an Old-Fashioned glass in which you have added a few drops of absinthe, rolled it around the glass, and discarded the excess. Garnish with a lemon twist.

New Oak Manhattan

2. oz. Copperworks New Oak Cask Finished Gin 

.5 oz. Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Stir the ingredients with ice in a mixing glass and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist, if you like.

New Oak Gin Julep

2 oz. Copperworks New Oak Cask Finished Gin

.5 oz. simple syrup

6 mint leaves

With a muddler, gently press and bruise the mint in a mixing glass. Pour in the gin and simple syrup;  stir with ice. Strain into a julep cup (or highball glass) filled with finely crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and serve with a short straw.

New Oak Old Fashioned

2 oz. Copperworks New Oak Cask Finished Gin

.25 simple syrup

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Garnish: orange twist

Stir ingredients with ice  and strain into an ice-filled Old Fashioned glass.
