Cocktails: Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey

Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey is a great sipping whiskey and it’s also great in cocktails.


Manhattan

2 oz. Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey

.5 oz. Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Stir the ingredients with ice in a mixing glass and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist, if you like.


Sazerac

2.5 oz. Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey

2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

1 dash Angostura Bitters

1 sugar cube

absinthe

Garnish: lemon peel

Muddle the sugar cube with a few drops of water in a mixing glass. Add the whiskey, bitters and ice. Stir well. Strain into an Old-Fashioned glass in which you have added a few drops of absinthe, rolled it around the glass, and discarded the excess. Garnish with a lemon twist.


Old Pal

2 oz. Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey

1 oz. Campari

1 oz. dry vermouth

Garnish: lemon twist

Stir with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.


Remember the Maine

1.5 oz. Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey

.75 oz. Italian vermouth

1 barspoon Herring Cherry Liqueur

Absinthe

Garnish: cocktail cherry

Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass rinsed with absinthe.
