WHAT’S AHEAD FOR COPPERWORKS

Acquisition of the Brewery at Pike Brewing

Copperworks will immediately take possession of Pike Brewing’s brewhouse and fermentation cellar. We need a brewery because all of our products begin as a beer with no hops before being distilled. Acquisition of this brewhouse will enable Copperworks to expand our production this year, eliminating huge cost and time in building and permitting a new brewery. Our distillation will continue to happen at our original distillery on Alaskan Way, just three blocks away. We will store our barrels of aging whiskey in both locations. That gives us plenty of room to grow our inventory of mature whiskey.

Cocktail Bar & Bottle Shop on Post Alley

The Pike Brewhouse we will acquire is located directly next to the iconic Seattle tourist destination the “Gum Wall.” And that’s where we will open a tasting room and cocktail bar. Located just 500 feet away from the center of the renowned Pike Place Market gives us another lucrative tourist location to meet new customers and sell our products.

De La Soil Restaurant at Copperworks Kenmore

We are excited to partner with the highly regarded chefs, Cody and Andrea Westerfield, to open their farm-to-table restaurant “De La Soil” inside our new Copperworks Kenmore cocktail bar and tasting room. Copperworks Kenmore is on the Burke-Gilman bike trail, a high bike and foot traffic that runs through Kenmore and Seattle. De La Soil at Copperworks Kenmore will source their food from several small farms in nearby Woodinville, WA. Cody and Andrea have led the kitchens of several renowned Seattle restaurants, including Lecosho, Serafina, Baker’s, and Bar Miriam.

Why We Have the Opportunity to Acquire the Pike Brewhouse

In June 1989, Copperworks Distilling founder Jason Parker became the first brewer at Pike Place Brewery (later changed to Pike Brewing Company). In October 2023, Pike Brewing announced its move to a new brewing facility in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood to expand its beer production. Rather than remove and destroy their turnkey 30-barrel brew house, they offered to sell it to Copperworks. This turnkey facility can start producing for us immediately upon acquisition.

Now 35 years later, the two companies will share the same location. Since opening, Copperworks has partnered with Pike Brewing to produce our beer (the starting point of all our spirits), so we know the brewery is well suited to our needs, and we have 10 years of experience in transporting the beer from the brewery to the stills for distillation.
