Farmsmith celebrates the barley fields of Washington by exploring the impact of single variety, single farm, and single growing year barley in this ever-changing whiskey. While this expression will always be part of our lineup, each release will feature a different barley varietal, farm, and/or growing year.
This initial Farmsmith batch is distilled from Baronesse barley, known for its exceptional quality and rich, malty flavor. This barley was grown at Joseph’s Grainery in Colfax and malted by LINC Malt in Spokane.
Maltsmith is distilled from a beer-style recipe that combines pale malt and caramelized malts, then matures in charred new American oak casks to create our flagship American Single Malt Whiskey.
Developed by our founders and known previously as our “Five Malt” recipe, this whiskey has been a cornerstone of our offerings since our beginnings.
Peatsmith explores the unique flavors that local smoke contributes to our whiskey. Crafted from barley malted with smoke from peat harvested on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, Peatsmith offers a smoky profile that is both mellow and distinct from traditional peated whiskeys.
The local peat imparts a rich, earthy character, complemented by subtle notes of campfire, brine, and hickory, making it a uniquely American version of a peated whiskey.
