Reserve Your Bottle – FAQ

How to Reserve Your Bottle of Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey, Release 001

When will Release 001 be available?Ticket-Front

Our first release will be available on August 27, 2016, starting at 10am.

Can I buy a bottle of your whiskey now?

No, bottles aren’t for sale yet. But you can reserve a bottle now by obtaining a Copper Ticket which will ensure you’re able to purchase Release 001 when it becomes available.

How much will your whiskey cost?

$59.89 per 750ml bottle, not including tax or shipping. If purchased at our distillery or to be shipped anywhere in WA State, taxes will apply for a total of $75.

How do I reserve a bottle of your first release of whiskey?

Buy a Copperworks Gift Card worth at least $75 and you will receive a Copper Ticket which reserves one bottle of Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey Release 001 for you. Copperworks Gifts Cards be purchased in our Tasting Room and online.

Are there limits on the number of Copper Tickets I can get?

No, there’s no limit. For every $75 worth of Gift Card you buy, you’ll receive one Copper Ticket. Buy $150 worth of Gift Cards (any number in any amount) and you’ll receive two tickets. $225 in Gift Cards gets you three tickets, etc. Each Copper Ticket reserves one bottle of Release 001  for you.

How do I buy my reserved bottle?

If you are in the Seattle area, come to our tasting room within 120 days of the whiskey release date. Present your ticket to the Copperworks team member behind the counter and purchase your whiskey.

How do I buy my reserved bottle if I’m not able to come to the tasting room?

You can purchase your whiskey online and have it shipped it to you if you live in a state that allows shipment. See details on where we’re able to ship spirits and shipping charges. You’ll need to provide the serial number of your Copper Ticket with your whiskey order. We’ll give you more instructions about ordering your whiskey online shortly before the release date.

Does the number on the ticket mean that’s the bottle number I’ll get?

No. Bottles will be sold in ascending numerical  order, starting with bottle #1.

Do I pay for my reserved bottle with my Copper Ticket?

No, the Copper Ticket has no monetary value. It just reserves a bottle for you and ensures you will have the opportunity to purchase a bottle from Release 001. When you arrive to pick up your bottle or request it be shipped to you, we’ll charge you our retail price ($59.89 per bottle, not including tax or shipping). You will be able to pay via cash, credit card, check or a Copperworks Gift Card.

If I purchase my whiskey through your online store, will my Copperworks Gift Card cover the cost of the bottle and shipping costs?

Not necessarily – it depends upon the dollar amount of your Gift Card. The $75 Gift Card purchase that was required to receive a Copper Ticket will cover the cost of one bottle of Copperworks Whiskey plus Washington State spirits taxes and fees.

The cost of the whiskey, plus shipping, for one bottle outside the state of Washington is $78.89. So depending upon the amount on your Copperworks Gift Card, you may need to pay a portion of the purchase on a credit card. If the whiskey is shipped to an address in the state of Washington, the total cost will be $90.

Do I have to use the Gift Card to buy the bottle from Release 001?

No. When Release 001 is available, you can purchase your reserved bottle with any form of payment we accept (cash, credit card, check, or Copperworks Gift Card). You can use the Gift Card at anytime to purchase anything in our store at any time. Copperworks Gift Cards have no expiration date.

Can I give the Copper Ticket or Gift Card to someone else?

Yes, both are transferable and you can separate the Gift Card from the ticket and use them separately. If you give the ticket as a gift, you may want to encourage the recipient to “Like” Copperworks on Facebook or to join our email list to stay informed about the release date. We will also post periodic updates about the release date on our Web site.

If I have a Copper Ticket, how long do I have to claim and purchase my bottle?

We will hold a bottle for each ticket we issue for 120 days after the release date. After that, we’ll offer unclaimed bottles to customers who want to purchase Release 001 of Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey. But at that point, Copperworks will have additional releases for sale. So you will be able to buy whiskey, but perhaps not from Release 001.
